What is Street Law?

Street Law  is a free, drop-in, legal advice clinic where people can ask questions and get legal advice in one-on-one consultations with volunteer lawyers. Demand for this clinic is high, so we recommend that attendees arrive on time to ensure being seen by an attorney.

Depending on the time of year it is held between 1 and 5 times per month. There are between 1 and 5 attorneys present ready to take a wide variety of questions.

Street Law is held at two locations. One of them is at the downtown public library and is held on Saturday afternoons. The other is at the Heinier Building on the Whatcom Community College campus and is held week days between 11 AM and 1 PM and again between 5 PM and 7 PM.
